Starting in September 2024, the PokerArabia platform will officially migrate to the GGPoker network, allowing players in the Middle East to compete and benefit from the GGPoker platform and compete in different events and tournaments globally, such as the WSOP.

PokerArabia is one of the leading online poker rooms in the Middle East and North Africa. It is based in Lebanon and operates under the Casino du Liban license. Although BetArabia, its parent company, ventured into online gaming relatively recently (launching in November 2022), the move to GGPoker marks an important milestone for the platform.

PokerArabia emerged during the global expansion of online poker in the 2000s, when the game became more accessible worldwide thanks to the Internet. Despite poker being considered a form of gambling and therefore banned in some Muslim-majority countries (due to religious and legal restrictions on gambling), poker’s popularity grew in various parts of the Arab world, especially in countries with more permissive laws or where online gambling was not as regulated.

The integration of PokerArabia into the GGPoker network will allow players on the platform to join a large international player base and participate in some of the most important poker tournaments and games globally, such as the World Series of Poker (WSOP).
