The WSOP 2022 is just a few days away from getting underway.
The 53rd edition of the prestigious poker tournament series is scheduled to kick off its marathon schedule of events on May 31. Hosted at the Horseshoe and Paris Hotel & Casino (now Bally’s) on the famed Las Vegas Strip, the WSOP will hold a total of 88 bracelet events at the facility, beginning Tuesday, May 31 with its inaugural Casino Employees No-Limit Hold’em tournament and running through Wednesday, July 20 when it is scheduled to conclude with the Tournament of Champions.
Entry fees for the events range from $400 to $250,000 for the series’ High Roller events, allowing players from different bankrolls the opportunity to take the glory and put their names in the history books as champion bracelet winners.

WSOP Online 2022
In addition to its live tournament schedule, this year the series will also host 14 online events, all bracelet events to be played on the WSOP.com platform.
The online tournaments will feature buy-ins ranging from $400 to $7,777, including four High Roller events.

TV coverage and news of the series
It is worth noting that for 2022 the WSOP will once again be broadcast on CBS Sports, the network that became the series’ television home last year, leaving behind years of coverage by the ESPN network. In addition, the events will also be streamed on the PokerGO pay-per-play platform.
In total, 18 of the bracelet events are scheduled to be covered, with a minimum of 15 hours dedicated to the Main Event including of course its final table.
As mentioned at the beginning of this article, this year’s WSOP will be held at the Horseshoe and Paris Hotel & Casino, which is still registered under the Bally’s name. The change of venue, leaving the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, brings the excitement of the WSOP back to the Las Vegas Strip, also the site of the legendary Binion’s Casino, where the first WSOP was held in 1970.
On the other hand, the WSOP 2022 has announced that players will not be required to be vaccinated against COVI-19, nor will they be obliged to wear masks. However, this is always subject to change should pandemic management guidelines change in the State of Nevada.
