Early positions at a poker table are the first to act in each betting round. These are UTG (Under the Gun), which is the position immediately to the left of the blinds. The player in this position is the first to act after the flop and, therefore, has the least information about the other players’ hands. This makes this position one of the most difficult to play, as the person must make decisions without knowing the other players’ intentions.
Other early positions are UTG+1 and UTG+2, which are to the left of UTG and face similar challenges. Although they have a bit more information than UTG, they are also in difficult positions due to the lack of knowledge about players’ actions in later positions.
